Once again searching for a Portable Pellet Smoker/Grill

I really want to see how it works for the pizza.

our youngest son got a Pit Boss smoker grill a bit larger than ours for Christmas .... they use it often for making Pizza and have been delighted with it .... they say its wood fired pizzas are excellent .... they also say that it saves them a good deal of money .... we do plan to test ours soon

Speaking of pizza. I just purchased a Breville Pizza Oven. it’s 750 degree temp gets a Neapolitan style pizza out of the oven in 2 minutes. We’ve had pizza everyday over the past week. I agree that it saves a bundle of money with pizzas in the $12-20> range. Trial run Pepperoni and home made Italian Sausage beat my expectations.: Note: I cut it into 6 slices, because we couldn’t eat 8.

We moved back to Sioux Falls, SD last fall. As I recall you mentioned your home town is nearby, so I’ll watch for smoke signals!

I'm a native Tarheel .... Maureen's home town is north of Sioux Falls, Estelline which is about 7 miles west of I-29 Exit 150 .... I sure hope to be able to use it a great deal wile we are out there this summer

My dad and I contract buried phone lines to various farm homes for Ma Bell around the Estelline area years ago. My guess is you will cook up a storm!

they are recovering from a 100+ mph wind storm a few days ago .... bunches of trees down .... its really been good seeing people come in from the country and help clean up the debirs

Have you had to load up and get out the Davey Crockett Grill yet? I'm wondering how it works for ease of loading and unloading. In July, we will be in NH and ME for three weeks, so I'm considering it for that trip. I'm also going to Watkins Glen in June and that might be a trial too.

won't be loading it into the camper for the first time until Wednesday or Thursday .... its taller and 4 or so inches longer than our former smoker .... weight about the same .... I already know that when setting up the legs, its really handy to have an extra pair of hands
