too bad, but this is not the first time this board attempted to get the 100k signatures to have it brought to the President's desk. We live in a VERY SMALL bubble and to think we will even get 20k is being very optimistic. this tends to die very quickly
Think about it -over all these years, all the car shows, all the press, public offering and only 65k folks put deposits, and how many "want's" with no skin in this game- I don't know the latest number-- are we to 25k people that have put up the 1k??

Scroll down the list of petitions, ELIO has more signatures than 11 others....I'm impressed...most of the popular petitions are front page news with close to 100% issue awareness...we know Elio is under 7 or 8% brand (same difference) awareness. For most of the 50,000,000 in poverty, Elio is a pocket book issue, not a passion for petitions. They would prefer to bust out the Elio credit cards and pay the same or less to the finance company (gas bill × 3 @ 84 mpg for Elio vs 27 mpg or less for clunker) rather than to Exxon to fill the clunker. Not to mention the $$$$ wasted on keeping that damn clunker on 4 wheels with 100,000 or more miles running!

Trump should realize the single biggest obstacle for the economy and the struggling single parent and poor families is affordable reliable transportation. Thus the Elio would enable the strapped and struggling to acquire a better job and be more upwardly mobile. For the rest of us it is just the great answer for the growing commuter problem. Because it saves tons on traffic space, and even to the point of creating least impact of any vehicle (electrics included) on the environment . Yep, Trump is really missing a golden opportunity to illustrate an All American engineering solution to the real American dilemma created by the Un-American leadership of the past. The whole idea behind the Elio preaches the same sermon Trump does. Hurry someone call Trump.

If it's really that good of an idea, what's stopping you? I've seen a lot of "great ideas" get mentioned on here; but when it comes to getting your hands "dirty" the ones that came up with the idea, back away from the idea ?? The kids will be fine while you look up the number, call and leave a message.

I visited the trolls' petition to file class action lawsuit against elio. It's still going strong, lol. Started May 14, 2015, it has a whopping 133 signatures & 134 comments (some of them are from the good guys). This petition was started April 21, 2017 and we have 261 signatures. In one month we got nearly double the signatures it took them 2 years to get.

Why all the cynicism, Coss? I already have. Letters to the congress too. But mostly to the Pres. and why did you pose this; 'if it's that good of an idea"? Sure it's a good idea why all the skepticism especially from a moderator.
