This week, the House of Representatives approved my [ Representative Lamar Smith ] bill, the Secret Science Reform Act of 2015 (H.R. 1030), with a bipartisan vote of 241-175. The bill would require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to base its regulations on the best available science that is publicly available.

Emphasis is mine.

I hear the White House plans to veto it if it gets there.

I recall Lamar Smith's science is 'faith' based science. I have to side with Scientiists and believe the results of scientific studies when it comes the serious nature of our envronmental issues.

Sorry to get your blood pressure up, William, but it was kind of the gist of the thread (EPA/ridiculous regulations).

...And "at this moment in time, and due to change", I'm going with Creamsicle, Automatic (bad clutch knee, lots of traffic to deal with), premium seat (624 hrs. of 'seat time' per year), and a premium stereo (not Skyzmatic) would be sweet.

IIRC, Lamar Smith is a Christian Scientist cultist.

I'm thinking the animal related excessive CO2 emmissions problem will be offset by getting the high mpg Elio on the road as quickly as possible and then it will be totally eliminated by future test tube beef production.

But couldn't we capture the methane and use it as an energy source?

I think you missed the point.
The bill requires that the study and results be publicly available.
That means they have to make the basis of their proposed regulation public.
They can't keep it in a secret server in Chappaqua , NY.
Do you have a problem with transparency?
