RSchneider, speaking as a realist there are varied personal levels of realism based on the personal level of emotions we have invested in the subject.

Federal vehicle requirements placed on auto manufacturers are much different than motorcycle manufacturers. The proven sondors business model could get a Trike to market in record time, however, I wouldn’t consider buying any three wheeler unless there is thousands of component part bench testing, track and everyday use road testing miles logged on, and scheduled reservationist test drives in a handful of prototypes prior to manufacturing and delivering the production model Sondors either here or China.

The right team could engineer, design, handbuild, and deliver a custom threewheeler in record time, then scale production for the mass market. A production ready vehicle is most critical. If it’s high quality, affordable, and has a proven interest and market potential, VCs will invest and provide the needed/wanted funds to scale production. Sondors likely doesn’t need VC money because he has generated funds with small investor interest. He wouldn’t require the the millions of added funding for manufacturing facilities if he partners with an established motorcycle manufacturer.

This is why the ball is in Sondors court. We can all be in 100% support of the company and their plans but the reality is, what do they do from here on out. Do they celebrate meaningless milestones and then go into silence or keep everyone informed on their progress. As we all know, Elio has set the standard, thus we need to see if someone else can improve on that.

FUV and SOLO have already improved on Elio’s standards and Sondors has surpassed their standards with his first prototype build.

Elio - 10 years Marketing - no validated prototype
Arcimoto - 10 years R&D - delivered the first S Series - celebrated milestones accomplished
EMV - 2-3 years delivered a handful of reservationist vehicles -celebrated milestones accomplished

Sondors - 1 year to prototyping and off to an incredible start with a major milestone accomplished, 2 if you consider funding a milestone.

Please provide the date of Arcimoto and EMV's customer #1 delivery and then how many they have delivered to todays date. I'm just curious as to when they made the first one and what the production rate is.

Sorry, but not researching specific dates since it doesn’t matter. Both startups have production model vehicles, have delivered their first hand built reservation vehicle/vehicles and are currently in the process of scaling production.

What you are saying is that you can't provide the answers but at least #1 was delivered and that's good enough. What are Arcimoto and Solo yearly production numbers then? Let's say, how many will they produce between January, 1, 2018 to December, 31, 2018. We are already at January 15, 2018 and with both of them making only 1 each doesn't sound like much. Please prove me wrong with the up to date numbers because right now, it's only 1 each.

Again, not being negative just wanting to see actual numbers as opposed to celebrating a one off hand built version sent to some dude nobody knows.

Acrimoto was also showing customer vehicles at CES, for another data point.

No that’s not what I said. I said I won’t because it doesn’t matter.

Bottom line RSchneider and in plain language, both the FUV and the SOLO has been delivered to customers no matter how small the numbers is. They've reach the all important production vehicle....not production READY, get it? It's a total joke comparing timelines with the "other" 3wheeler that's still waiting to be funded to even bring theirs to pre-prod ready.;)

I guess if Paul builds a "production" ready car for his neighbor, then they are production ready. If it's that easy, we need to let him know. In the world of manufacturing, there's a big difference from delivering 1 car to some unknown person as opposed to delivering 5000 of them. On the other hand, it looks like people are ready to lower the bar just to claim production ready. If that becomes the case, Apple cold have the iPhone15 out today. It might be a friend of the CEO but who cares, it's in the hands of a consumer, thus production ready.
