I had a thought the other day of something that could be interesting. What if you could order your Elio with a different color for the fenders than the body? It would be an easy option for them to offer since they already will have different colored fenders. This would add a lot of options for personalization. The marshaling centers would just need to have a few extra sets of standard fenders.

It would also be good if they had a wider variety of interior panels to offer. They would be relatively small items that could easily be stored at a marshaling center, taking up very little space.

Any body shop should be able to repaint the fenders and it should be relatively inexpensive and just about anyone with an air compressor should be able to repaint them in their garage

or a paint roller and some time... watch those guys rolling paint on cars and how amazing it turns out... bunch of thin coats and then a couple thick clear coats... all of it then wet sanded and buffed. Yeah, turns out really nice.

But make sure you're using Auto Paint, not off-the-shelf-paint. The off-the-shelf stuff won't last or withstand constant UV exposure.

Yeah, if you don't mind spray fumes through the house; and besides the paint, you'll need reducer, if you use epoxy you'll need activator, a cleanup fluid (lacquer thinner, or mineral spirits) materials for prep (sandpaper, scuff pads) tape and paper.
Now if you find someone that paints at home, they'll have all this stuff already. Better option unless you plan on doing more painting at home in the future.

Paint roller???? Are you on different meds Ty? Arrggh a roller, the ultimate backyard hack for a paint job.

I have heard of painting a car with a broom, but not with a paint roller. I will buy a ticket and bring a six-pack to watch that event. ( and I don't drink)
