This lucky pup was rescued by Tulsa, Ariz. deputy Amber Solomon after disappearing five months earlier in the devastating March tornado. After a few weeks, no one had claimed the pooch, so Solomon adopted her. River is now a happy member of Solomon's family! (Photo Courtesy KJRH)

Our current big baby.... Cleo

When we adopted her we were told she was a Lab. Mother was a lab. I think we know that the father was a Dalmation. Her brother got most of the Lab but he was mean spirited and we didn't adopt them as a pair. He was quite the bully to his sister. She seems to have gotten most of the Dalmation traits. Her build and character are quite Dalmation. Prior to her I was a total Lab fan.

I've been a cat person all my life but was recently (2003-2011) blessed by our rough collie, Precious, who we adopted from a collie rescue. We have two 4-yr old kitties now who mean the world to us, but not a day goes by that I don't miss Precious.

Precious just happens to be the name of my daughters guinea pig... well one of the three at least. All animals are great in their own ways.

She reads at a 8th grade level plus my wife has tot her to speak some Russian and Chinese

I learned Chinese from my Shih Tzu. I am working on my domestication according to my wife.

Gotta throw in a couple pics of my little buddy, Iggy. Props to Maravilla Condos in Destin, FL! Very pet friendly! We take him everywhere, and he's learning to calm down on the road...Actually, I think he's mastered it!
