Shreveport Plant Tour

I am most definitely going to take the plant tour and take a nice leisurely drive from Shreveport to Las Vegas. Still deciding on a trip plan so not sure if I am doing the southern scenic route or the more direct route. Just looking forward to getting that e-mail asking me to pick options and color.

I do wish to take factory delivery. Hopefully wont be expensive. If so I plan to take Greyhound to Shreveport LA. Its cheaper than flying.

Are you near an Amtrak route?

Vegas is the wrong direction from home, Though I do plan on a Chicago to Los Angeles run by way of as much original Route 66 as possible/

I live about 170 miles from the nearest show room (Memphis).
I live about the same distance from the factory.
I'd kinda like to go get my Elio direct from the factory and check out the place too.
I wonder if that is posable?

Actually if you search for that subject you will find a lot of discussion about it. Elio Motors has said they will offer plant tours and have also mentioned an arrangement with a local casino for over night stays. I believe one of the subject headings is about how far will your trip be to pick up your Elio or something like that. Warning, there are a lot of posts so you have your work cut out for you reading all of it. LOL Enjoy the adventure! :-) Z

When I looked up the rates from Knoxville of a bus vs plane, the flight was cheaper. Might be different since they changed the production date.
Would like to fly down in the morning and start a scenic drive back that afternoon. Have family in Memphis and Nashville to visit on my way home.

I would hope Elio would provide shuttle service from the airport to their location. It's a good PR move. Maybe pick you up in an Elio. That would make sense.

Baton Rouge to Shreveport by Greyhound is a 5.5 hour ride...
