It actually restricts eligibility for the best tax break to the few that pay taxes beyond a standard deduction. It makes bribery pay better without unintended consequences of the wrong people taking advantage of those programs. So, do you think that levels the playing field a bit more for a lot of people?
We need eligibility language that applies to all start-ups like ELIO instead of restricting it to political buddies like Elon Musk.It actually restricts eligibility for the best tax break to the few that pay taxes beyond a standard deduction. It makes bribery pay better without unintended consequences of the wrong people taking advantage of those programs.
Some of the programs have eligibility language that is so tailored that only one company can qualify.
"Of course, this is making a horrible assumption that a big enough battery and electric motor would be equal in price to the engine/transmission setup Elio is using for the ICE version."
There was a time that folks made the horrible assumption that the horseless carriage could possibly replace horses.
So it is today that the ICE will be replaced by EV's. Hopefully E M will be the leader of the "Ford" of this adventure- bringing the EV to the masses.
Not to worry, the batteries will be developed so that the attache case size battery pack (with a 500 mile range) will cost $200.00 (adjusted for inflation)
And with a push of a button, autocycle will drive itself to the recharging station, and appear in the driveway at your desire.
Paul Elio can be the H Ford of the future bringing cheap transportation to the masses, let's hope so with four letters in each product, it'll be easier than if it were a name from another culture.
sorry if I was reading too much into it ;-(I was just saying that an electric version of the Elio would most likely NOT sell for $7,500 which is the maximum federal incentive for an EV which would, in effect, make an Elio free. That's all.
I wonder if the Elio can really be sold for $7500? Perhaps that it why my order has not been filled.I was just saying that an electric version of the Elio would most likely NOT sell for $7,500 which is the maximum federal incentive for an EV which would, in effect, make an Elio free. That's all.
