50% Bonus For "all-in" Reservations Ends September 1, 2014

I'd like to upgrade to 1000 all in but I still have not sat in it as the car has never been on tour close to me. I'd want to see it in person to make sure it's what I really want before upgrading. This email tells me they are getting close to having enough to get the ball rolling by September

This is an obvious attempt to try to generate a sense of impending "scarcity" and get those reservation numbers >40K by September.

It's possible.

Who kicked Elio in the ass to stop effing around and 'show it'?

I'm guessing when all is said and done I'll pay 10-12,000 total by time you figure upgrades/options tax/lic delivery etc.....

Paul Elio stated in a past interview that the maxed out... top of to line... Elio would just be under $16,000 with all the latest bells and whistles, that the Elio can have on it... but the basic model would be $6800...

Kind of makes me worry a little, about how much these upgrades are going to cost?? $6800 - $1500 = $5300 due for may basic Marshmallow Elio... plus another $5000-$6000 in upgrades? so that is just about double? for a middle of the road... nice Elio?

Still way lower then what they say is the average new car costs, which comes in at $31,000....

I am not saying that I will not get some of these up grades, it just looks like the upgrades are going to be a little costly... I believe the stainless steel exhaust system which I am going to get for my Elio, is less than $200 for a full size car, but no idea how much it is going to costs for an Elio...

$10,000 in upgrades is just a little high for me... An Elio is small, just what upgrades would cost that much?

Does the maxed out Elio come with a R2D2 bot...attached to it... Still going to get one!, just have to set a limit on upgrades...

But who knows, I may need one of those $500 tooth brush holders...or coffee heaters....etc...

You will all be very happy to know that as of yesterday and thanks to some wonderful surprise gifts from friends, I am now all in for $1,000 and waiting for my number. Is it time for the numbers to be released yet? When do you think the next release will be? I know from experience it can be anywhere between 4 weeks and 10 weeks. I promise not to nag. At least not too much, anyway. LOL Z

Edit: The friends I speak of are here on elioowners forum. Since it was done anonymously I will simply have to thank everyone. My local friends don't even know this has happened yet. Z

I was a little worried, that I would have to bid on a Elio dress.... glad you are locked in now and getting a number, like the rest of us... and waiting and wanting it even more...

For me it is not just the idea of getting a new Autocycle, with a few of the bells and whistles, it is what the Elio can provide for me... which is low cost Travel to any where I want... and I don't have to fill up every 113 miles...

I know I will be Traveling a lot more with my Marshmallow Sour Apple striped Elio.... and my bebop Parrot drone taking pictures and videos of the Elio road trips...

Sorry for your loss LockMD. I can't say "I understand how you feel", because I've never been through it. That would be my WORST nightmare! Good luck to you and yours, and may we all live to be 110, driving our 300k mile, worn out, pieces of crap, 1st gen. Elios around!

I'm deeply sorry for your loss, LockMD. Life is never easy, I know, but when we marry, we marry for life, and I've always felt the "she" gave up so much more than I did. . . . . I KNOW, and this will sound selfish of me, but they always seem to make MANY more sacrifices for us and the sake of the marriage than we do.

Guess what I'm trying to say, LockMD, is that I have a tremendous amount of respect and love in my heart for ALL the wives out there.

And then to lose them to such a hideous disease.

I know you loved her very much and I share your loss.
