I actually like roundabouts... they put them everywhere a 4-way stop would've been here (or replace 4-way stops with them). Sure you have to slow way down, but it sure beats having to stop completely... keeps you out of the wasteful gears (1st and 2nd).
All this Apple-only advertising crap is giving me a pukey feeling.
Weird they would target marketing accessories at the most overpriced platform on the market when their car is supposed to be the cheapest on the market.
"Works with your iPad OR your iPhone."
How about "Works with iOS or...
I think you seriously underestimate the number of parts on a car. What you just named probably makes up 5% the parts on a modern car.
Let's say the gas tank is custom made for the Elio (likely needs to be efficiently shaped to the location in the car). What could be off the shelf associated...
I've got a 2000 Insight, which I'll agree is probably the closest analog to an Elio you can get right now.
Great cars if you can find one. You can get one with a dead hybrid battery cheap and run it gas only, but the fun factor is significantly reduced.
Fun fact: over the six years it was...
I just hope someone will produce a Blackjack Zero or Morgan type kit for the Elio once it gets going. Having the Elio already ready to go and just removing the shell and chopping the frame would be way easier and cheaper than the total from-scratch kits.
Nitrogen fill: a fool and his money are soon parted.
Question: what do you think the tire is full of when you mount it to the rim? Plain air. You can add nitrogen to the tire, but it'll still have a large fraction of oxygen/argon/whatever in it.
Even better, these gases will slowly diffuse...
Outsourcing the body panels? Makes perfect sense. The GM equipment for body panels would be for stamping out steel. The Elio is made of a plastic composite, I assume molded somehow, injection or vacuum or what have you.
Not Hondas in the 80s and into the 90s.
I find this super annoying because it means you burn extra gas when it's cold out to run the stupid compressor when just heating the air is enough to evaporate the condensation.
Installed a kill switch on the compressor clutch relay on my Civic to fix...
Road wear and tear increase by the 4th power of axle weight.
So an Elio barely pays any gas tax (maybe 1/3 that of a Ford Focus), but does 1/16th the damage to the road surface that the Focus does. Even adding in fixed per-use costs like light maintenance and traffic enforcement, it seems like...

After that, anything they post will be listed when you go to...
Porsche improved on the design Ganz made in the same way the Elio is an improvement in the design of the Can-Am Spyder.

The Tatra v570 was a rear engine, air cooled 4 cylinder boxer on a backbone chassis frame.
There's a three cylinder with a CVT currently for sale in the US in the form of the Mitsubishi Mirage. He's saying it's directly compatible to the engine in the Elio, so let's compare them.
And then not offering any comparison.
